A time to kill a blog...

I started blogging sort of on a whim and it grew for no reason. Its amazing how many people spend, nay waste time on the computer reading about the ordinary daily doings of a teen. As I moved down here to Mexico my reader group grew immensly and I have found that it is a wonderful source of prayers and to keep my family and friends back home informed of the happenings down here. With that I am officialy posting my last and final post. I turn you however to a group blog that has been setup down here where there will be posts from all staff members of the different aspects of CVE. http://www.cvelife.blogspot.com/ is the new hot-spot to check everday.

Official reason for putting down the pencil/keyboard: I am no longer just Joel. I am Limón and part of a family. Part of something huge and the prayers shouldn't be just for me but for the whole place.

(Off the record) reason #2: Im too lazy to update a ton so I will do periodic posts on the group blog.

Noche Buena

Christmas Eve is actually a bigger deal down here than Christmas itself. The festivities began at 7:00 with a fabulous dinner of baked potatoes and carne asada. The talent show began at 8:00 with acts ranging from "making fun of the staff " to "Candy's mad dance grooves".

Armando's Solo

Candy busts a move

Katie's excersise program

Fede gives a family history

(his nickname is the chicken)

The kids play dress-up as the staff All the boys received sleeping bags

Diego's Huge Hauler
Chocolates flowed from all corners, other assorted sweets busted out of their wrappers, cookies, soda, more chocolate, and I believe just plain sugar was consumed in record time. We then began the gift-opening session. Complete with hyper-venilation and screams of glee. We then topped off the evening with a massive game of "Kick the Can".

Review Of Last Week(in pics)

I started out with a post reviewing our past week. I didn't feel like the post was very entertaining and so for your viewing pleasure I mixed up all the picture captions.

Saying Goodbye To Two

Sunday Afternoon

Some time amazingly fun things just happen. Like...HUGE leap frog games on Sunday afternoons. Some time amazing NOT so fun things happen. Like...Sunday afternoon car accidents. It was just a small fender bender with the bus, but Bill got to go to the police station for four hours. Apparently when in an accident down here most people run so they lock you up until you pay. After hours of convincing the police that he wasn't going to run away they let him come home before spending the night in jail.

Once Again...Boys Will Be Boys

Welcome to the 2007 All-Star Wrestlemania where chest meets chest, biceps are flexed, and the old men get bloody noses. Last night (as often happens during clean-up time) a huge wrestle match broke out in the dorm. Matresses are brought out along with the couch cushions in order to provide some padding on the floor. Shouts and taunts are made all around. Then the sweating, ripping, flexing, of grunting men begins.

Suprise

What a beautiful suprise yesterday as Joe and Denise (Joe-mama and mama D) randomly showed up without warning. Joe had dropped off a semi about six hours away and had a day or two break so they both came to see us. Its great to have family back (even if its only for a little bit)
